5.1. Methodological overview
The learning process of this subject is designed as follows:
The subject includes 6 ECTS that comprise 150 working hours by the student: 60 in-class hours and 90 homework hours. The 60 in-class hours include 30 theoretical hours and 30 practical hours in the computer classroom.
5.2. Learning tasks
The learning activities include:
Theoretical and Practical lectures with a participatory approach.
Practical sessions in the computer room to solve questions and to answer, small and large individual/group exercises, role plays and simulations.

Module I: Financial Markets
Unit 1. Financial System
Unit 2. Stocks and compensation for stockholders
Unit 3. The structure, characteristics and operations in stock markets
Module 2: Exchange Transactions
Unit 4. Trading systems
Unit 5. Capital increase
Unit 6. Other transactions: Reductions in capitalization, split, reverse splits, etc.
Unit 7. Stock Benchmarks
Unit 8. Credit Transactions and Contracts for Differences (CFDs)
Module 3: Stock-Market valuation
Unit 9. Valuation based on fundamentals (top-down and bottom-up investing).
Unit 10. Valuation based on charts and technical analysis
5.4. Course planning and calendar
The academic calendar will be published in the website of the Faculty of Business and Economics. The learning activities will be published in the website (Moodle) of the subject and will be previously presented by the professor.
